Much of the work we do at BLANKSLATE Partners in supporting value-driven and purpose-led organizations grow, occurs on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations and the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Siksika, the Piikuni, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Stoney Nakoda First Nations, including Chiniki, Bearpaw, and Wesley First Nations. Additionally, the City of Calgary is also home to Métis Nation of Alberta, Region III. As a remote team, land acknowledgements allow us to engage in ongoing reconciliation by reflecting on individual physical spaces as part of a predominantly virtual shared experience.
